Hi foundU team,

At foundU, we know employees are the lifeblood of any business. From finding people and thereafter, rewarding, motivating and listening to the them. Our team’s response during COVID-19 has been simply phenomenal. Thank you.

Your health and safety is always our top priority. COVID-19 has introduced an unprecedented scenario for office settings like foundU’s. We now have a daily concern about your physical safety and mental health.

We’re fortunate to work in technology. It’s easy for us to support our customers and our business from home. This is a privilege many businesses (and many of our customers) don’t have. Setting politics aside, we have customers who have been severely impacted by the continued lock downs. As we do everyday, we should do what we can to support those customers more broadly. It will take a community.

We are actively encouraging vaccinations for all our foundU family.

We understand that we’re in uncharted waters. We have carefully considered the facts, science and the best advice. We also appreciate that over the course of the past 18 months, this advice has sometimes changed. Our decisions are based on what is known now.

The overwhelming advice says vaccination is our best possible protection against COVID-19, its potentially serious health impacts and our way out of the pandemic. We also feel there is a social responsibility to do this.

Australia has approved a number of COVID-19 vaccines and our national cabinet has agreed vaccination is our way back to a ‘new normal’.

It’s also the only way to end the cycle of lock downs and border closures because they’re proven to be one of the strongest layers of protection against severe infection.

To help encourage vaccination, and to ensure you know you’ll be supported, we’re introducing a new employee benefit. Team members choosing to get vaccinated will have ‘free’ leave for the day of your vaccination/s, and you’re encouraged to take sick leave the next day if you experience any side effects.

We will also be rewarding all fully vaccinated employees with your own ‘foundU Freedom Day’ — a free days’ leave and a $100 voucher to spend as you please.

We would like to record vaccination status against our employee records. If you’re comfortable doing so, please head into your employee profile View Profile > Financial Details (as this is where the sensitive info fields are stored) > scroll down to where you can upload the details related to vaccination status.

We understand there’s lots of complicating factors, including access to vaccines. Some may not want it, or still have unanswered questions. But we need to find a path through that.

For those with questions, we’re happy to speak with you at any time. We can arrange direct discussions with medical professionals and help you identify where you may obtain vaccines.

In the meantime, here’s a link to the latest advice from the Federal Government: https://www.australia.gov.au

Thanks again.

Matthew
